Pop Art at its Finest
Putting on Airs is a series exploring classical works of art, focusing on a full scale 3-D re-envisioning of Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus.
This breathtaking installation was built in only three days on-site at Paula Scott Unlimited in the Furniture Campus Building, 560 5th St NW, Grand Rapids, MI.
Voting
Voting for ArtPrize was open to the public. Those in the Grand Rapids area in the beginning of October 2009, were able to case votes for our work. Even now, people are still spreading the word about this work at ArtPrize. There were over 1200 artists participating in the event, so standing out was hard, but we were certainly noticed. Thanks to all of you that voted for us!
Watch Larry discuss his piece in this interview that appeared on WZZM.

WOW!!! That was/is amazing! What fun! I love it! Great work!
Please come to Grand Rapids again – your work was my favorite. I will do anything short of a “Lady Godiva” to get more people over to see it!
