Putting on Airs is a series exploring classical works of art, focusing on a full scale 3-D re-envisioning of Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus.
This is the latest picture taken with the Venus cam
The full installation began on site on September 20. The Venus cam snapped pictures of the build every minute. Numerous photos of people viewing the sculpture were also taken for the first week of ArtPrize. What shows now is the final photo taken with the Venus cam.
Due to the nature of balloons, the sculpture was kept up as long as the balloons still looked good. After nine days, the sculpture was taken down and replaced with a photo of the final piece.
